An FDM Printer that switches itself off after a printing job is finished can definitely help sustainability. As FDM Printers finish printing and remain in idle mode, it still consumes energy resources in this idle mode. If the 3D Printer can switch itself off after a printing job is finished, it will not consume energy resources anymore, and will save energy resources.
